Tiffany Stennett is Getting To The Bag

Highlight of the week is Tiffany Stennett, a long time local photographer and videographer, who has entered into the filmmaking industry. She directed and wrote a drama film short entitled, Living In The Dark: A Story About Domestic Violence. It was accepted at the Charlotte Black Film Festival in Charlotte, North Carolina, on May 29, 2023 by announcement of the festival’s Facebook live page. This film festival took place on July 6th through the 9th 2023. There was a virtual version of the Charlotte Black Film Festival that took place Tuesday, July11th-Friday, July 15th 2023. This film was accepted in other film festivals, including Eudamonia TV film festival, which is a monthly virtual festival, which it won the Healing Award for it’s important topic on domestic violence, and the film placed as a semi-finalist at the Florida Shorts Film Festival, which is also virtual. Tiffany stated that, “It’s an incredible honor to have this important project accepted within the film festival community and with the hope of more acceptances to come in the future. I don’t take any of this for granted. God is amazing. And I couldn’t have done any of this without the dedicated and

talented cast and crew that came together too made this happen. But most importantly, I’m delighted that the message of the reality of domestic violence is resonating. I want to continue to create projects, mostly with a social message, whether through drama or even laughter.”

Tiffany Stennett was born in Hialeah, FL to Jamaican parents and was raised in Miami, FL. She attended Florida International University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communications, in which her area of concentration was television productions, then attended Full Sail University, a production arts college in Winter Park, Florida, when during a raging pandemic, completed her Master of Fine Arts degree in Film Production on February 5, 2021. Her career in photography and video productions expands over 20 years. Tiffany continues to work professionally as a photographer and has other film projects currently in development.
